On Monday evening, I had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful Danielle Redner from Stella & Dot. She had an amazing speech, and put out there, “if you had no fear, what would you do in 2012?”
With the New Year right around the corner, what are your plans for the year? Have you always wanted to try skydiving, yet are afraid of jumping out of a plane? Have you wanted to pursue a new business endeavor, yet have been afraid of success or failure? Have you wanted to embrace your inner self, yet have been afraid of self-discovery? Lets set our fears aside and challenge ourselves to step out of our comfort zone and see where we can go.
Wayne Dyer puts it nicely, “Be miserable. Or motivate yourself. Whatever has to be done, it’s always your choice.”
Remember there are times when we feel as though we want to quit. As Winston Churchill said, “Never, never, never give up.”
Imagine what the world would be like if we all gave up when the goings got tough. When there is something you truly believe in and want to pursue, pursue it to the end. Make it your passion. Most times it is our own selves that hold us back. Instead of focusing on the words of the non-believers, refocus on achieving your dream. “When you feel like denying your dream is when you must deepen your devotion to your dream.” – Robin Sharma.
Here’s to a fearless 2012. What dreams are going to be achieved?
