Just as darkness resides in the light, light resides in the darkness.
In dark times, it is important to follow the light. The stars and the moon will light our way.
As an old Chinese proverb says, this to shall pass.
I took you from the ends of the earth, from its farthest corners I called you. I said, “You are my servant”; I have chosen you and have not rejected you. So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand. – Isaiah 41: 9-10
I came across this Bible passage while trying to find some quotes to comfort a grieving friend.
Lately in my life, I have been sensing a theme. A theme of who am I, and what is my purpose. This theme seems to be re-occurring through various Facebook pages I follow, as well, it seems, in life itself.
In Isaiah 41, God says, “I have chosen you and have not rejected you.” We are here for a reason. Each person who crosses your path was placed there for a reason. The reason could be trivial, or the reason could have a huge impact on either your life, or theirs.
I believe there are angels sent here from beyond our realm to guide us down our chosen path. We are all closely connected with one another. Have you ever noticed when you think of someone you haven’t spoken to for awhile and suddenly your phone rings and it’s that person.
Another friend of mine recently posted this,
“That a hunch is angel talk, and probably should not be ignored.
Listen to your hunches, pay attention to your intuition, do not dismiss your random thoughts, inspirations or ideas. Heaven talks in snippets, not in speeches. Angels whisper fast. They have to when flying around…
Honor your hints from heaven. They could be giving you the best advice you ever had.” – Neale Donald Walsch
I have had many hunches, and when I choose to listen to them, great things have occurred. Sometimes these hunches can be strong feelings, and sometimes they were faint whisperings, where only those who pause to listen can hear.
Another great story to get your mind pondering existence, is The Egg by Andy Weir. http://www.reddit.com/r/Frisson/comments/1a07cy/short_story_the_egg_by_andy_weir/
As an aside, to my dear friend who posted these last two quotes on her Facebook page, I thank you.
Life is mysterious. Life is grand. Life is wonderful. Know you are not alone in your journey. There are always guides around should you choose to seek them.
For 9 months we get to enjoy the sounds of our mother’s heart beat. After birth, it becomes a familiar comforting sound to our ears when we snuggle with our moms.
My youngest daughter loves to snuggle with me. She is almost 4, yet she still crawls into bed with me most nights. She will then snuggle up and will sometimes rest her head on my chest or back to hear that all familiar sound.
A mother’s heart beat is most comforting. It reassures us that everything will be okay. There is nothing like cuddling and resting your head in your mother’s bosom listening to the thump, thump, thump of her heart. The rhythmic sound relaxes you. It eases the sorrows and melts away any pains.
